Rest Day

Forget Kerkove, this is what a rest day should look like:

The fixie ride is off for tonight (at least for me), the group ride is off for tomorrow (Bryan and I have both cancelled based on the forecast), and the mountain bike races for the weekend are both in jeopardy because of another storm this weekend. If that happens I might just show up at Finchford for the Cat 5 race.

Bryan, thanks for the encouragement. Me do some ass kicking? I doubt it, but I'll try.

Andrew, the most recent forecast for the weekend has storm number two heading south of Iowa, so there is still a chance. We shall see. What class are you racing in at Veishea?

I'm planning on racing in the expert class. I've never done this race so I don't even know how many people are going to show up. Should be a fun race in the mud and sand though.

Jeff - Welcome to my humble abode! Good luck at Sea Otter. Enjoy the CA sunshine.

Carney - Expert? Good chioce. From what I've seen you should do well. I'll probably see you down there. If I don't, good luck!

Last year Veishea was pretty lightly attended (17 racers), but they held it on the same day at Sylvan Island. The Veishea race was in my backyard, and I drove 4 hours to race at Sylvan. Hopefully it will be better attended this year.
